The development and design of the deep hole variable diameter boring cutter is to solve the problem of inner reaming with small ends and large middle in the deep hole.Deep hole processing technology is a difficult-to-process technology.Due to the characteristics of large length diameter ratio,high cutting temperature and difficult chip removal of deep hole,conventional cutters cannot carry out the reaming in the middle of the deep hole.In order to solve this problem,a deep hole variable diameter boring cutter with self centering,cutter replaceable,radial change of guide block and cutter at the same time and self-locking function is developed.In this paper,the new deep hole variable diameter boring cutter is used to process17-4PH deep hole inner reaming parts under different cutting parameters,and the feasibility of the designed deep hole variable diameter boring tool is verified through theoretical analysis and experimental research.The main tasks completed in this paper are as follows:(1)Research on the processing method of inner reaming in deep hole.According to the processing method of the inner reaming in the existing deep hole,combined with the characteristics of deep hole processing,systematic research is carried out to make up for the shortcomings and optimize the structure design,and determine the research direction of the deep hole variable diameter boring cutter design.(2)Design the process plan for the processing of the inner reamed parts in the 17-4PH deep hole.By studying the machinability and cutting characteristics of the 17-4PH material,combined with the deep hole boring processing method,the 17-4PH cutting process performance is optimized,and finally determine the processing plan of the inner reamed parts in the 17-4PH deep hole.(3)Clarify the design principles,develop and design deep hole variable diameter boring cutter.The design principle of the deep hole variable diameter boring cutter is determined through literature research,and the design is based on the structural requirements of each part in the form of three-dimensional modeling.The force of the deep hole variable diameter boring cutter in the processing process is studied,and the main The motion transmission parts are checked for strength.UG is used for kinematics simulation to verify the correctness of the design principles,and ABAQUS is used for statics simulation to verify the strength requirements of the core parts.(4)Carry out experimental research on deep hole variable diameter boring cutter.Use the designed deep hole variable diameter boring cutter to carry out the deep hole inner reaming test of the 17-4PH shaft.By changing the cutting amount,analyze the tool wear,chip shape and chip removal effect,and the axis deflection of the inner reaming hole,verify the feasibility of the designed deep hole variable diameter boring cutter.
