Gears are one of the most widely used parts in the mechanical field.At present,gear manufacturing processes are diverse.The gear slotting process using gear shaper cutters as processing tools is a very common method.As a gear shaper tool for machining tools,its own design and manufacturing level has always been one of the important factors restricting the development of gear shaper processing.In the actual gear grinding process,due to the influence of the shape of the gear shaper,the commonly used large flat grinding wheel gear grinding There are many restrictions on the machine's tooth width,helix angle,modulus and so on.In addition,for cemented carbide gear shaper cutters with shaping requirements,the grinding wheel is difficult to dress during grinding,and it is not advantageous in terms of time and cost.This paper analyzes the grinding mechanism of gear shaper cutters,adopts the conical grinding wheel to grind the gears according to the generative method.Starting from the analysis of the gear grinding movement relationship,through solving the processing movement parameters,the final grinding of the target gear shaping cutter tooth side is completed.Gear shaper cutters with modification requirements also use this method.Only through motion control,the grinding of the modified tooth surface can be completed without any dressing of the grinding wheel.So far,the subject has mainly carried out the following research work:1)Based on the gear meshing principle,the mathematical model of grinding teeth with conical grinding wheel is established.The discrete machining motion parameters of the unmodified spur gear shaper cutter are solved by coordinate transformation and surface conjugate theory;2)The general method of tooth profile modification is analyzed.The parabolic curve is used as the tooth profile modification curve,and the tooth profile modification equation of gear shaper cutter is derived;3)The calculation of gear grinding parameters is completed in MATLAB,and the calculation software interface based on Matlab GUI is developed.The solution of gear grinding motion parameters can be completed only by inputting the parameters of gear shaper cutter and grinding wheel;4)According to the actual structure of gear grinding machine and the motion relationship of each axis when grinding with conical grinding wheel,a virtual gear shaper grinding machine suitable for this subject is built based on VERICUT simulation software.According to the motion parameter solution data,the NC Macro Program of grinding gear shaper is compiled,and the grinding of gear shaper is completed in the simulation environment;5)Based on the "automatic comparison" function of VERICUT software,the correctness of the simulation machining is verified,and the tooth profile error measurement of the representative position on the flank of the gear shaper cutter is completed through the three-dimensional software,which verifies the feasibility of the tooth surface grinding method of this topic.6)On the premise of not changing the parameters of the conical grinding wheel,by solving the discrete machining motion parameters and compiling the corresponding NC macro program,the simulation processing of the tooth profile modification gear shaping cutter is realized in VERICUT,which is compared with the standard gear shaping cutter model.The deviation data of the tooth profile compared to the theoretical involute is obtained.In this project,the conical grinding wheel is used to grind the gear shaper cutter tooth surface according to the generating method without any dressing of the grinding wheel,and the tooth surface grinding of the straight gear shaper cutter and the gear shaper cutter with tooth profile modification is completed.According to the simulation processing and error analysis results,the feasibility of the proposed grinding method is verified,Without changing the shape of the grinding wheel,the tooth surface grinding of the unmodified gear shaper cutter and the profile modified gear shaper cutter can be completed only by controlling the grinding movement.
