The Tong Deng is a stringed percussion instrument used in villages of the Zhuang nationality in Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region,it is located in a remote location,not well known,and has a short excavation time,It is distributed in Yongli and Dajia,Bamu Township,Tian'e County,Hechi City,and adjacent areas such as Bachou Township in Donglan County and Wuai Town in Nandan County.The name is derived from the transliteration of the sound "dom deg"(Zhuang dialect)produced by its percussion as " Tong Deng ".The Tong Deng has a long history and an ancient shape.It is a kind of bamboo tube piano,and it is an ancient "living fossil" with a long heritage.The emergence and development of " Tian'e Tong Deng " relies on the unique local customs and culture of the Zhuang nationality.It has an inseparable connection with the bronze drum.It is an important carrier of the Zhuang culture and reflects the distinctive local ethnic characteristics.It is an important autonomous region-level intangible cultural heritage.The investigation and study of the Tong Deng culture is of great significance to the research on the rheology of the bamboo piano in southwest my country.It is of great academic value to the local bronze drum customs in Tian'e,the local science and technology history of ethnic minorities,and the excavation and protection of traditional crafts."
