Retro is an eternal topic in fashion,and ancient costume is the material noumenon of retro pursued by people.We can trace the development of costume from the characteristics of different times.Classic and ancient works in different stages of the 20 th century often have collection value,which is the cultural epitome of an era.They have been re innovated and applied in various design and art industries.Ancient clothing also provides design inspiration for the current fashion designers,provides cultural support for the brand's continuous innovative design,and at the same time,it is also the brand's inheritance of its own clothing history and culture.At the same time,the popularity of ancient books is also a part of resource recycling economy.By visiting the antique shops in Beijing and Shanghai,the author collected and sorted out the pictures of the popular styles of dozens of local antique shops in Paris during his study tour in France.Combined with the follow-up market research,the author elaborated the development of the current Chinese and foreign antique markets.Starting from the concept of ancient works,this paper analyzes the reasons for the formation of ancient clothing culture,historical and cultural heritage,and market development.The different modeling characteristics,element characteristics,cultural connotation and the application of ancient costume in different scenes are extracted.Then,through the analysis of the differences between the western and Chinese ancient costume culture after China's reform and opening up,that is,the 1980s-1990 s,the successful experience of the development of western ancient costume culture and the enlightenment brought to us are analyzed;the application of Chinese elements in ancient costume and the existing Chinese ancient costume are summarized and analyzed.Finally,on the basis of the author's research,practice,through personal practice of our country's ancient costume innovative design scheme application research.This topic mainly studies the modern development of ancient costume and the application of ancient elements in modern design,and explores the design ideas of Chinese ancient costume.Through the analysis of the successful experience of western ancient costume culture,combined with the local costume culture and aesthetic system,this paper explores the application method and value of local ancient costume culture in China's contemporary costume design,as well as its sustainable development mode.
