Numeical machine tool is the carrier of advanced manufacturing technology and the basic production means of the equipment industry.The spindle motor is the key execution component of the CNC machine tool,whose performance determines that of the machine.At present,the spindle motor is still dominated by asynchronous motors,however,permanent magnet synchronous motor has received more and more attention due to its advantages of smaller power consumption,higher efficiency,small size and light weight.In this subject,5.5kW permanent magnet synchronous motor is studied from motor structure,electromagnetic simulation to control system simulation and software and hardware design.PMSM test bench is established.Firstly,the important parameters of the stator,rotor and winding are determined based on the working condition of the motor.The electromagnetic parameters of the motor are calculated in detail by theoretical methods.The electromagnetic characteristics of the motor is verified by finite element method.According to the design results,a three-dimensional digital model of PMSM is established and a physical prototype is manufactured.Based on the vector control method and PMSM mathematical model,the simulation model with PI controller was established in Matlab/Simulink.The simulation results of the rated speed,torque and three-phase current are obtained,which verifies the correctness of the controller.The motor control system is established based on the designed PMSM and MCU MKV58F1M0VLL24.In terms of hardware,the control system task is clearly defined and the function and principle of the rectifier filter module,the power drive module and the core control module are analyzed.The schematics and PCB drawings are designed in Altium Designer and the circuit boards are made as well.In terms of software,based on NI LabVIEW virtual instrument platform,the host computer monitoring interface was designed and the lower computer control program including main program and interrupt service program was written.The software flow charts are given.Finally,experimental verification are passed,the designed motor and control system meet the design requirements.After the installation test,the machine tool spindle jump is less than 0.01 mm and the repeat positioning accuracy is 0.001 mm,which meets the requirements for use.
