Rolling mill is used to rolling the steel plate,making the surface of plate smooth and thickness uniform.The mill roller is the most critical component and plays an important role in the quality of the steel plate.Ordinary cylindrical grinding machine will not be able to process the roller surface,so it needs to design a special grinding machine.In this article the main research contents are as follows:(1)The design of overall structure of the grinding machine.Referring to layout of ordinary cylindrical grinder and combining with the characteristics of the structure of the roller,a variety of grinding machine design plans were put forward.Then making comparative evaluation and comparing the advantages and disadvantages of the plans,the feasible processing scheme of grinding machine was established.(2)Structural design of main components of grinding machine.The number of motion control shaft of the grinding machine were determined by analyzing the basic movement.The main structure parts of the grinder and its general layout including the grinding carriage,the clamping mechanism of work-piece,the driving device of the guide roller and the workbench were determined-By manual check and calculation the main grinding and structure parameters were acquired.The three-dimensional model of the grinding machine was established.(3)The static and dynamic analysis of the grinding machine.The static characteristic of main structure parts of grinding machine were analyzed by using finite element analysis software ANSYS.And the structure was optimized based on analysis results.Then the modal analysis of the grinding machine was carried out for the reliability and good dynamic characteristics of structure design.(4)With the use of finite element theory of the temperature field and thermal deformation,the thermal deformation of the grinding machine was analyzed.The calculation methods of the heat source and the convective heat transfer coefficient were given by analyzing the thermal characteristics boundary conditions.Based on the thermal characteristics analysis process with ANSYS the steady-state temperature field of the grinding machine was established.With the condition of temperature field,the thermal deformation of the grinding machine was acquired by finite element analysis which laid a foundation for the design of precision grinder.(5)The study of influence between the grinding fluids and the thermal deformation of the whole machine.The thermal deformation of parts caused by the grinding fluid is an important factor which affects the accuracy of grinding machine.Taking the grinding machine for the model,analysis model was built based on the finite element software.The boundary conditions of thermal analysis were carried out by using rule of nusselt equation.On the basis of above analysis the influence of grinding fluid on the thermal characteristics of the machine was acquired which laid a foundation for thermal error compensation of the grinding machine.
