Shoemaking is an important manufacturing and export industry in our country, it has an important position in China’s national economic development.But,at present it widespread that the Shoe-making machines is low level of automation, low-tech products, low-grade in the shoe-making enterprises.Soles edge grinding as an important step in the shoe-making process, it has much impact on the quality of the shoes, but the domestic shoe-making enterprises are mostly in the use of manual sole edge grinding machine, the efficiency is very low.In this case, the stability of product quality is difficult to be guaranteed.These hinder the development of China’s shoemaking.How to improve the quality of the sole edge grinding and raise the benefit of enterprises is a problem that needs urgent solution.In response to this phenomenon, according to the characteristics of the soles edging.This paper designed a special numerical control machine-full-automatic sole edge grinding machine which can be used for the soles edging. The paper designed the mechanical structure and researched on the special numeric control system of the sole edge grinding machine.First, the paper confirmed the main paramete,the overall design and Layout of sole edge grinding machine. Secondly,completed the design and selection of feed system,the structure of the spindle and key components (including tool changing device,clamping transpose.dust suction installation).Build out the fully-automatic sole edge grinding machine’s overall mechanical structure. Last,on the basis of the mechanical structure,in order to achieve control of the sole edge grinding machine.The special numeric control system developed by this paper based on the hardware platform of ARM+FPGA and software platform of Linux+Xenomai,the whole platform is high reliability, good performance,compact structure,flexible configuration options.After analysis the linear and the S-curve acceleration/deceleration control methods,this paper used simplified S-curve acceleration/deceleration control method and realize the smoothness of the movement. At the same time the paper introduced the built-in PLC in numeric-control system and writed ladder diagram programme to achieve control for CNC and all I/O signal.After finished the design,in order to examine sole edge grinding machine’s performance,we did actual processing test,the result proved the sole’s curve smoothly which meet the Shoe-making techniques requirement.
