Cams are an important part of the transmission link.Due to the large working load,the requirements for manufacturing accuracy,surface quality and wear resistance are also high.As a hybrid process,electrochemical grinding is especially suitable for high-precision forming of difficult-to-machine materials due to its high processing efficiency,good surface quality of the workpiece,and low cutting force.However,there are many influencing factors of electrochemical grinding,so it is necessary to conduct process experimental research for different workpieces.This paper takes the electrochemical grinding of a certain type of cylindrical cam groove as the research object,expounds the influence law of abrasive particles on the electrochemical grinding,designs the cathode grinding wheel required for the experiment,and uses the special five-axis linkage CNC electrochemical mechanical hybrid processing experimental research on electrochemical grinding of cylindrical cam grooves has been carried out on the machine tool.The main research contents are as follows:1.Based on the physical model of electrochemical grinding and the principle of the machining system,the gap mathematical model of electrochemical grinding is constructed.2.Based on the machining principle and related properties of electrochemical grinding,through the electric field simulation calculation of the machining area under different grain size conditions,the influence law of different abrasive grain size on the electric field parameters of electrochemical grinding is explored.3.In order to improve the machining accuracy and machining stability of electrochemical grinding,the development and optimization of high-precision grinding wheels are carried out.Single-factor experiments with four different parameters were carried out,revealing the influence of each parameter on the effect of electrochemical grinding,and determining the parameter range of the orthogonal experiment,and the optimized parameters were obtained through orthogonal experiment.4.Based on the theoretical and experimental analysis of electrochemical grinding,a special grinding wheel is used on the electrochemical mechanical hybrid machine tool to carry out experimental research on the electrochemical grinding of cylindrical cam grooves.On the hybrid machine tool developed by the research group,cylindrical cam grooves with an average side surface roughness of Ra0.330?m and Ra0.337?m can be machined without obvious overcut at the bottom,which ensures the machining efficiency and machining effect of the electrochemical grinding machine and stability.
