As a household goods,toilet affects our lives day and night.With the rapid development of science and technology,with the improvement of life quality and with the improvement of people's demand,toilet has become a way of live for many people around the world,affecting human toilet culture,and gradually moving towards the foreground of human lives.This paper introduces the evolution process and development status of toilet at home and abroad,analyses and summarizes the existing automatic overturning cover mechanism.On this basis,combined with the smart home design requirements and regulations,a new type of automatic overturning cover mechanism for smart toilet is proposed,and the structure of the mechanism is analyzed and calculated,and relevant test data are collected.Intelligent toilet overturning cover mechanism includes seat cover,motor,motor base,shaft,swivel arm,torsion spring and so on.According to function,there are four parts in the system:main shell parts,seat cover parts,driving parts and driven parts.In studying its motion,by drawing the motion sketch of the mechanism and calculating the degree of freedom of the mechanism,it analyzes and solves the problems of mechanical motion sticking,the rigid impact of opening and closing points and the out of level of the seat cover and so on,designing an intelligent toilet overturning cover mechanism with compact structure,high stability and long life,which eliminating the uncertainty factors motion and realizing the performance optimization design.Intelligent toilet appearance design requires full of scientific and technological sense and visual impact.Its appearance surface requires grade A.Within the visual recognizable range,seat cover and main shell require uniform connection gap,no height difference in connection plane,soft opening and closing movement of seat cover.Considering the special requirements of this kind of product,it increases the design difficulty level of overturning cover mechanism on the aspect of product design.As a metal material appearance part,the swivel arm directly affects the toilet appearance and overall comfortable sensation.Therefore,besides the discussion of the manufacturing and processing,the polishing process of the swivel arm is particularly discussed in detail,and the corresponding design requirement is put forward according to the special salt spray test requirements.The overall appearance of seat cover parts requires higher requirements,which occupy more than 2/3 of the appearance surface of the product,directly impacting the aesthetic feeling of users and arousing the purchasing desire of users.Because of its unique metal insert structure,it not only meets the stability and service life of the opening mechanical motion,but also meets requirements of injection molding,as well as meets the requirement of appearance surface,which adds difficulty to the design of the opening mechanical.In the design of torsion spring,the center of gravity of the automatic overturning cover mechanism is determined and the overturning cover torque is calculated by using 3D software.According to the requirement of product life cycle,a special tool for testing the life of torsion spring is designed.The fatigue strength of torsion spring under load is tested by 50,000 times of overturning cover.With the help of ANSYS Workbench finite element analysis software,the 3D modeling of torsion spring is optimized,high-quality meshes are generated,reasonable boundary conditions are set,and stress analysis and solution of torsion spring are carried out to achieve collaborative simulation and solve problems in product development process.Aiming at the automatic overturning cover mechanism system,using ANSYS Workbench finite element analysis software to simulate the action and analyze the life of relevant parts,especially the connection reliability between metal insert and plastic cover plate.Designing the open cover life test to verify the consistency of theoretical analysis and test results,Through the feedback of the results and the optimization of design,ensuring the scientific design and reliable products.With the automatic overturning cover mechanism,intelligent toilet products pass the open cover life test,load test,destructive test,vibration test,salt spray test and other tests,whose performance effect is remarkable.The application of the mechanism in the intelligent toilet proves that its stability is superior.The product was once put into the market,it has recognized by users.In the process of development,many innovative ideas and interdisciplinary application practices have been obtained,and which lay the foundation for further improving product quality and professional design ability.
