Although the walking beam belongs to the auxiliary equipment in the steel rolling production line,it plays an important role in the whole rolling process.If the walking beam fails to work normally,the entire production line will stop production,which will affect the output of steel.Therefore,it is particularly important to design a walking beam system with high efficiency and high safety.Based on the actual project of a steel plant,this paper proposes a reform design for the problems of the walking beam in the work,and solves the problems in the production process of the walking beam.Taking the new four-bar linkage walking beam as the research object,using modern CAE technology to comprehensively analyze the performance of various parts and provide theoretical guidance for subsequent design.First of all,according to the conclusion of the field processing,the final improvement scheme was proposed,and the walking beam modeling was completed after the improvement by using three-dimensional software;the main parameters and components of the walking beam are studied,and the relevant parameters are determined.Secondly,use ADAMS software to perform kinematics simulation analysis and calculation in the moving beam,verify the correctness of related parameters and mechanical structure design,and provide a theoretical basis for the operation of the improved walking beam;use ANSYS software to perform analysis on the main components of the walking beam Finite element analysis includes static analysis of moving beams under different working conditions,analysis of column stability and bearing capacity,and overall analysis of moving beam system under the most dangerous working conditions.Finally,considering that the temperature of the steel coil may affect the moving beam,a thermal-structure coupling analysis of the moving beam is proposed to obtain the stress and deformation under the influence of temperature,and to judge the influence of temperature on the moving beam;in order to realize the lightweight of the moving beam and save costs,optimize the design of the moving beam without affecting the safe working conditions of the walking beam,and the optimized results meet the requirements.
