The drilling engineering program determines the quality and speed of drilling construction.In developing the program,engineers need to design the drilling engineering based on the well history database and the target wells,and need to query,process,analyze and optimize the data,in which some repetitive work usually wastes a lot of time and has a large error,and through research it was found that the existing software has a complicated operation process and is limited to the implementation of functions.There are fewer software that can support postoptimization.In response to these problems,we have developed Drilling engineering design software(DEDS),which can realize batch calculation,automated calculation and support postoptimization.Specific research results are as follows.(1)Optimized design of borehole trajectory and well body structure.The research on the design method of borehole trajectory was carried out,and a model for calculating circular trajectory,a model for optimizing borehole trajectory with the shortest trajectory as the performance index and a model for optimizing borehole trajectory with the least friction as the performance index were established,and a theoretical method for multi-objective optimization of borehole trajectory was proposed.The safety constraint conditions,the necessary sealing points,the optimization method,and the casing and borehole size coordination in the well structure design process are studied and summarized in detail,and the well structure design drawing method is established for different well types.(2)Drill bit and hydraulic parameters optimization design,drill bit selection is studied from both theoretical formulas and historical data,and two methods of drill bit selection are established based on rock drillability and completed well statistics,and the two methods are integrated and strengthened by multi-model fusion technology.The hydraulic parameter optimization studied the fluid rheological model and the discriminant theory of flow state,established a multi-objective optimization model of hydraulic parameters with the performance indexes of rock breaking energy and rock carrying effect of drill bit,optimized the hydraulic parameter design process,and improved the accuracy of hydraulic parameter calculation.(3)Considering the application scenarios of the software,a three-layer framework of application layer,service layer and data layer is adopted to establish two functional modules of data maintenance management and drilling engineering calculation,and a database is built based on Access.Each module of the software was introduced and explained in detail using the Z11-13 well as an example,and different software was used to design and analyze the results for Block N under the same parameter conditions.The average mechanical drilling speed increased by 38.4% after the optimized bit type,the pump power increased by 15.42% and the impact force and injection speed increased by 13.73% after the optimized hydraulic parameters,which effectively improved the drilling and breaking efficiency.DEDS software provides data management,professional calculation and optimization,and result output functions,while saving the data in the design process in a structured manner into a library,which is important for improving the science,timeliness,automation level,standardization degree,and digital construction of oilfield drilling engineering design.
