Investigation Of Materials And Process Of Porcelain Green Paper ——Taking A Ming Dynasty Porcelain Green Paper As An Example

Porcelain green paper is a kind of famous processing paper in ancient China,and relic that made by porcelain green paper is often a museum treasure.At present,there are few records and researches on porcelain green paper,and there is a lack of systematic knowledge of its composition and production technology,which makes it difficult to carry out scientific protection and restoration of relics which made by porcelain green paper.This research mainly divided into three parts,the first part is the way through the literature research to the development history of porcelain green paper and traditional handmade paper carding process and to sum up,the second part is through the video microscopy,Raman spectroscopy and scanning electron microscopy technology to the traditional porcelain green paper analysis technology,which have basic knowledge of traditional craft porcelain green paper,Combining with the first part,we can roughly infer the related technology of porcelain green paper.The third part is to conduct the experiment on the paper performance of modern porcelain green paper and compare it with traditional porcelain green paper,so as to understand the difference between modern porcelain green paper and traditional porcelain green paper,which is conducive to the improvement of modern porcelain green paper technology.According to the literature review in the first part,the historical development of porcelain green paper went through the improvement of ivy paper and paper thickening technology in the Tang Dynasty,paper punching and indigo material in the Song Dynasty,and finally the official naming process in the Ming Dynasty.This process is also the continuous development and progress of traditional hand-dyed paper technology.The traditional manual dyeing paper process is the crystallization of the wisdom of ancient Chinese people.From the production of raw materials to the dyeing of paper,every step is constantly summarized and developed from the experience of predecessors,which is the inheritance and development of the wisdom of Chinese culture.Through the technical analysis of the traditional porcelain green paper in the second part,it can be seen that the production material and process of the sample of the traditional porcelain green paper can be summarized as follows: indigo dye is dyed on one side of the paper after filling and coating,and then made by superposition up and down.In the third part,the paper performance of modern porcelain green paper is tested and compared with traditional porcelain green paper.On the one hand,both modern porcelain green paper and traditional porcelain green paper are dyed with indigo blue in the dyeing process,and both use leather fiber as the raw material for paper making.On the other hand,The paper copied from traditional porcelain green paper is thicker than the modern porcelain green paper after mounting.In addition,traditional porcelain green paper has better dyeing effect,which is very uniform and dark in color,whether on or between fibers,while modern porcelain green paper is not uniform in dyeing,and there are a lot of blanks on and between fibers.Through the literature review and experimental analysis and comparison of the above three parts,it is beneficial to strengthen the understanding of porcelain green paper materials and processes,so as to provide a basis for the research,protection,restoration and replication of porcelain green paper cultural relics.
