The annual growth of China’s Hazardous Waste Treatment Market is 10%,becoming growth engine of the economy.S company is a sophisticated combustion system integrator originated in Europe,stepping into the Market a decade ago,accepted for her well-known brand and technical strength.With the intensifying competition and the rising of new technologies,S company is facing unprecedented challenges.It is necessary to put forward practical measures to further improve the comprehensive competitiveness and bargaining power of the company,through analyzing the internal and external conditions and factors.Applying PEST Approach,factors of external environment,including political,economic,social and technological,are analyzed,to have an overview of the macro environment of the company.Study of the impact of these factors upon the target and the formulation of the strategies are also presented.Five different strengths,including the competitive abilities of existing rivals,potential competitors,and substitutes,the bargaining abilities of sub-vendors and buyers are also analyzed to measure the competitive scale and intensity of the Hazardous Waste Treatment Industry,with the method of Michael Porter’s Five Forces Model.Based on SWOT Analysis Method,the intrinsic advantages and disadvantages,and opportunities and challenges,closely relevant to the company,are listed and studied,to establish competitive strategies.With the consideration of the competitive environment and the characteristics of mature phase of China’s Hazardous Waste Treatment Market,competitive strategy of S company is put forwarded.It is to focus on high-end market with proper attention to the middle market.The logic foundations,based on which this competitive strategy was derived,are illustrated in details.They are the internal factors,the company culture,business philosophy and management framework,together with the external factors of the industry,which have impacts on the benefit and behavior of S company.To ensure the successful implementation of the strategy,detailed methods and supporting measures are suggested.Detailed methods are cost effectiveness and providing differentiated services by establishing sound after-sales service network.Supporting measures are localization of management,cultivating of stable and productive supply chain,establishing sound motivation program and innovative remodeling of organization structure,to match with the critical factors leading to success in the market at last.
