| Since the reform and opening up,while people’s material life has been better satisfied,our living environment has also been constantly damaged.In recent years,problems such as air pollution,water pollution,and land pollution have followed.Especially the phenomenon of garbage "besieging cities" has caused controversy on the Internet.To investigate the reasons,the weak supervision of environmental protection departments,incomplete environmental education,and insufficient environmental awareness made the environmental protection concept fail to be implemented.Teenagers are the future of the country and the hope of the nation.They should actively cultivate and enhance their environmental awareness and practice environmental protection behaviors.Therefore,improving young people’s awareness of environmental protection is of great significance to raising the awareness of environmental protection among the entire population.This article takes the S community environmental protection guardian as an example,based on cognitive behavior theory and ecosystem theory,using a questionnaire method to investigate the current situation of environmental awareness of 50 young people in the S community.Shallowness,relatively lax attitude towards environmental protection,and failure to implement environmental protection behaviors.The low environmental awareness of S community young people is caused by their own particularity,insufficient demonstration of family environmental protection models,dislocation of school environmental protection education,imperfect infrastructure of S community and poor social phenomena.In response to this problem,we must change the internal causes and let young people personally participate in environmental protection actions through group work,let them learn environmental protection knowledge,correct environmental protection attitudes,guide environmental protection behaviors in specific activities,and effectively promote young people’s environmental awareness.The group carried out eight activities from five aspects: setting up young environmental protection guardians,participating in community surveys,making environmental protection plans,hosting environmental protection activities,and sharing the results of the activities.The activities were carried out step by step to gradually improve the environmental protection attitude of young people and increase their environmental awareness..The study found that through the intervention of group work,the environmental protection attitude of the youth in the S community has changed well,environmental protection awareness has also been improved to a certain degree,and there is a high degree of environmentalenthusiasm,which can basically host environmental protection activities.On the other hand,there are also shortcomings.They cannot help young people systematically organize their environmental protection values.Secondly,the small environmental protection team has not integrated well with school activities.Social workers and schools still need long-term efforts for this.But overall,the group work has a good effect in raising youth environmental awareness. |
