Research On China’s Urban Environmental Quality And Its Influencing Factors

With the development of cities,many environmental pollution problems have arisen.On the basis of fully studying the existing research results of urban environmental quality at home and abroad,and drawing on the experience of urban environmental governance in some developed countries at home and abroad,we will evaluate the urban environmental quality of our country and investigate its influencing factors.In order to promote the further development of our cities and improve the urban environment,we provide feasible suggestions.This article first analyzes the current situation of China’s urban environmental quality,and examines the problems that exist in China’s urban environmental quality.Then,the environmental quality of Chinese cities was evaluated,and the comprehensive index of urban environmental pollution was calculated by using the entropy method.Through comparison,explore the characteristics and changing trends of China’s urban environmental quality.Then,the relevant theories of econometrics are used to analyze the influencing factors of urban environmental quality.Through the above-mentioned qualitative and quantitative analysis,the research conclusions of this article are drawn,and corresponding suggestions are put forward on this basis.The main conclusions are as follows: Judging from the evaluation of urban environmental quality: First,the overall environmental quality of the city is showing an improvement trend.Second,the ranking of the comprehensive index of urban environmental pollution is relatively stable.Third,the overall urban environmental pollution index shows a trend of volatility curve as a whole.Fourth,the comprehensive index of urban environmental pollution in different regions differs greatly.From the perspective of the influencing factors of urban environmental quality: First,the relationship between urban economic development and the comprehensive index of urban environmental pollution presents an inverted U-shaped curve.Second,the scale of urban population and the comprehensive index of urban environmental pollution present an inverted U-shaped curve.Third,there is a positive correlation between the urban industrial structure and the comprehensive index of urban environmental pollution.Fourth,there is a negative correlation between urban environmental governance and the comprehensive index of urban environmental pollution.Fifth,there is a negative correlation between the level of urban technological development and the comprehensive index of urban environmental pollution.Sixth,there is a positive correlation between urban traffic conditions and the comprehensive index of urban environmental pollution in the eastern and northeastern regions.In response to the conclusions drawn,the following suggestions are put forward:First,focus on economic development,optimize the industrial structure,and achieve coordinated development of urban environment and economy;second,focus on population size and coordinated development of different regions;third,optimize environmental governance methods and improve greening benefits;The fourth is to increase scientific investment and develop green high-tech industries;the fifth is to improve the quality of the people and continuously cultivate the residents’ awareness of environmental protection;the sixth is to implement differentiated strategies in different regions to achieve common development in different regions.
