Wheat,as one of the three most important cereal crops in the world and the third largest cereal crop in China.It takes significant meaning for maintaining national food security and social and economic stability to promote wheat growth and resistance of disease and stress for ensuring high and stable yields under efficient and environmental planting technology.The application of plant growth regulators has the advantages of high efficiency,economy and labor saving.It has become the development and supplement of traditional agronomic techniques,and is also one of the important measures for achieving high yield,stable production and improving commodity quality in agriculture.In China,some chemical control technologies have become conventional technology for production of cotton,rice and rape,and are important supporting measures for high-yield technology.However,the development and application of growth regulators are not ideal in the staple crops such as wheat and corn.With seed dressing and spraying on leaf surface of 12% vanisulfane ME,rules of growth-promoting for fresh and dry weight of wheat leaves and roots,chlorophyll content,tiller number,output and effect for disease control were studied in ground potted test and large scale field experiment.Then an optimal concentration for seed dressing and spraying on leaf surface,time for spraying and dosage for field production was determined.At the same time application regulation and usage of 12% vanisulfane ME for field production was laid down.The research results are as follows:1.12% vanisulfane ME could effectively increase the fresh and dry weight,chlorophyll content of wheat leaves.Its effect was better than that of the component single dose and blank control.It could increase the number of tillers and had an obvious effect of promoting growth,thereby increasing yield.However it had no effect on wheat roots.2.12% vanisulfane ME could promote wheat growth and dry resistance,therefore could reduce the occurrence of leaf chlorosis in early spring.It also showed a good prevention and control effect on wheat stripe rust,with an average relative control effect of more than 63.5%,which provides a guarantee for stable and high production in the later stage.3.12% vanisulfane ME could significantly increase kernels per spike and 100-grain weight of wheat.Therefore it could make wheat output increase.The actual field yields showed that the yield in the treatment demonstration field increased by 7.84%-12.65%compared with the blank control.4.Considering the cost of chemicals,it is recommended that 12% vanisulfane ME could been used in agriculture practice under seed dressing with 100 μg/ml and leaf surface spraying in three-leaf and flowering period with 1000 times.
