With the ever-increasing eoonomic development,people’s demand for life is no longer a feast or a millet,in the face of sericus environmental pollution and natural eodogical demage,environmental protection has become a hot topic that all countries around the world pay dose attention to As the world’s sacond largest market econamy,China is an indispensable and active participart in irternational affairs,and domestically,China’s enviromental problems are becoming more and more obvious,the People’s pursuit of a better life also makes environmental protection urgent.The people’ s pursuit of a better life also makes environmental protection urgent.Environmental pollution affects not criy social and national interests but also the interests of the general public.It is far from enough to rely on the goverment’s unilateral compulsary protection Therefore,goverment departments need to be more active in publicizing the solidarity between environmental protection and health and every citizen,so that more and more people will take the initiative to participate in environmental protection activities based cn their interest,to provide fresh and magnificent new momentum for environmental protection.At present,compared with the practice of environmental protection in developed coutries,China’s environmental protecticn presents two problems,on the one hand,the government dominates environmental protection and the relevant laws and pdicies on enviromental protection are absent.On the one hand,the government dominates the environmental protection,and the relevant laws and policies of environmental protection are absent.On the other hand,the concept of public participation in environmental protection is weak,the involvement degree is low,and the effect of public participation in environmental protection is not significant.Based on the present situaticn of Environmental Protecticn Law System,first of all,through summing up the practice of foreign public participation in environmental protection,it is dear that the ourrent situaticn of public partiaipation in environmental protection in China is inadequate.Secondy,paper comperes and analyzes the relevant legal systems and theoretical achievenments of public participation in environmental protection at home and abroad;thirdy,it summarizes theexisting problems in the theoretical research and legal mecharism of public participation in Environmental Protection in China;finally,it puts forward some proposals to improve the legal aspects of public participation in environmental protection,so as to enable the public to participate in enviromental protection activities with justification and protection,and at the same time,ob a good job in the relevart participation regulations,regulate public participation behaviar,with a view to farming a positive atmosphere for the government and the public to join forces and regulate the environment.
