| With the development of electronic technology,electric power steering system is a new type of power system,which developed quickly after EHPS.Electric power steering system has the advantages of power saving,energy saving,compact structure,environmental protection,high efficiency,better following performance,automatic back,light weight,easy to maintenance,high portable feature compared with EHPS which is being applied to a variety of vehicles.The electric power steering system applied to electric forklift is also an inevitable trend,so there is important theoretical and practical significance to carry out the research of electric power steering system.In this paper,the main composition and working principle of electric power steering system is introduced firstly.After analyzing the main performance requirements of EPS system and introducing the traditional common EPS system,the three kinds of power steering system including the three pivot electric forklift vertical connecting rod type,gear type,direct connection type are proposed.Ultimately determining the scheme of direct connecting fulcrum and three vertical electric forklift EPS system and designing of the main part and selection of the scheme.According to the design of the direct connected and three fulcrum vertical type electric forklift EPS system,the 3D model of forklift steering mechanism is built.Then the 3D model is imported into ADAMS to finish the simulation of turning process.During the process of the power steering and the power steering reversal,considering the actual situation of forklift steering,the research on the dynamic changing pattern of the steering wheel torque and angle was carried out.Based on the main control chip MC56F8255 of FREESCALE,the hardware and software of the EPS system are designed.Relying on the NOBLIFT Machinery Limited Liability Company’s PS15 three-point support forklift truck,the developed EPS system is installed on it to complete the experiments related to the content ofresearch.The result shows that the electric power steering system can meet the steering requirement of electric forklift. |
