Research On The Spatial Framework And Architecture Of Confucian Temple In Western Shandong

The emperors always build a lot of architectures to enhance their power in imperial China.Confucian Temple is a typical architecture which plays the role of worship and education.Local Confucian Temple is not only an important component of the city,but also reflects the traditional city construction system.The paper firstly draws out its formation and development by means of historical documents,then sums up the evolution of the spatial pattern of Confucian Temple:1)from a single building to a courtyard space;2)from a single courtyard space toward a multiple space;3)from a simple ritual space to an unity of education and worship.Finally,it also focus on the architectural features,protection and utilize of Confucian Temple.This paper is divided into six parts.Chapter one is introduction.It analyzes the background、purpose\significance,and then reviews the Confucian Temple research process.Put forward the thesis frame.Chapter two:It mainly reveals the formation and development history of the Confucian Temple.Chapter three:it combines the relationship between the temple’s location and natural environment,analyzes the Temple’s architectural evolution progress and building institution,reveals the spatial pattern from the perspective of typology,and explain its mechanism.At last,the worship activities are discussed.Chapter four:it mainly analyzes the architectural features of the temple from three aspects.Chapter five:Based on the data and investigation,it summarizes the problems in the protection and utilization,and put forward proposals to protect and reuse.Chapter six is conclusion and discussion.It mainly summarizes the research conclusion and proposes research prospects.The whole thesis contains about 60397words,110 pictures and charts.
