| The railway plays an irreplaceable role in the economic expansion of our country,and because of this,the construction of railway networks in China plays a leading role in the economic construction since the founding of our country.China’s railway networks spread across all areas of the country,in which basically every city has a number of lines passing through the city center.Due to the special nature of the railway line(not allowed to be interrupted without major reasons),cities are divided into several regions.With the development of urbanization and increased traffic flow,passage forces fall far short of the requirements of travel especially the exchanges among the separate regions divided by the railways,and the resulting traffic bottlenecks have been seriously hampering the development of cities.Unfortunately,this phenomena is more obvious in those cities of faster economic development.Currently,opening up the bottleneck is the primary political task of local governments in order to ease the traffic congestions,which leads to the rapid construction of highways and municipal bridges crossing the existing railways.When buiding highways crossing existing railway lines,conventional construction methods not only require increased investment,but the risk of construction safety is also high while unable to guarantee the normal flow of existing passages and lines.Especially during constructions across railway roads,other conventional construction methods cannot meet the requirements because the railway lines are too busy to be interrupted and available space is extremely limited as most of such projects are usually in the busy urban roads,so the use of incremental launching construction become the most common type of application technology for these overpass and bridge constructions due to its small footprint,superior safety and strong operational advantages.Building a bridge from the air is undoubtedly an ideal method because this technique can meet the construction requirements,guarantee the everyday operation of the railway,and reduce project investments.The bridge project on the Yung Flowers Street of Hengshui City crosses Beijing-Kowloon and SHI De railways and acts as a main channel connecting the three areas of the city from north to south.The construction of this bridge,realizing the eleven-kilometer road from highway gate to Fuyang New River as well as its virescence,solved the North-South urban traffic bottleneck,improved municipal infrastructure,improved urban quality of the city,and optimized the urban living environment.The project is representative of the incremental launching construction technology,and therefore,this article relies on the implementation of the project to provide a more detailed analysis and elaboration of incremental launching construction technology in all aspects of bridge engineering applications,and to demonstrate the important role this technology plays in bridge engineering and the whole economy as well as its related social development. |
