| The rapid growth of China automotive market has been stopped.The increase of automobile sales has been gradually slowed down.Automotive company has to face with fiercer competition,and price war narrows the profit margin.Quality and function turn to be similar on different types of vehicles,while aftermarket enhances the competition and wins the customers.Expectation from customers on aftermarket is higher,which is a challenge as well as an opportunity to market players.This paper gives an overview of the status of Q Company and its aftermarket purchasing,with analysis on the problems involved and study of the aftermarket purchasing system.This paper explains three major steps of vehicle development of Q Company and the expected contribution from Purchasing Department in each step.Compared to the overall target of Q Company and expectation in each step,this paper explains the weakness of aftermarket purchasing,as well as the proposal on how to deal with them.Theories including ABC Classification,Kraljic model and Co-engineering have been discussed.New researches focusing on aftermarket purchasing have been studied.Data and typical cases from daily work have also been provided.Finally,proposal is offered as purchasing strategy combined with aftermarket parameters,in order to optimize the service,control the cost,increase customer’s loyalty and improve the competition of Q Company. |
