Photoconductive switch has more advantages,such as fast closing time,high repetition rate,simple and compact structure,the minimum time jitter,high pressure,and good synchronization accuracy,having a wide range of applications in ultra high-speed electronics,high-power ultra-fast electrical pulse generator,body shaping and other fields,having gradually become an important switching devices in the field of super ultra-fast laser and pulsed power field.PCSS is a switching device using ultra-fast pulsed laser irradiating photoelectric semiconductor material(Si,In P,GaAs,etc.),the resistivity of the semiconductor material is controlled by triggering light and achieving the realization of turn-on and turn-off.It works semiconductor materials for the laser excitation energy to produce electron-hole pairs,causing its electrical conductivity changes,and then change the switch-off state,thereby generating electrical pulses.So that PCSS can be more easily integrated into the application system,currently valued in many fields,has a broad application prospect.Based on the previous experiments studies,we research the characteristics of the inverter spark discharge device.When the inverter works long hours and works in continuous conditions,the radiation energy stability,changing between 3.5m J and 5m J,the jitter time is 11.556 ms.The gengration of jitter is due to the electromagnetic effect of the inverter internal boost device,the jitter has no effect when the PCSS work on single trigger,the high jitter limits the use of high-voltage pulse power,we can use a DC voltage source to provide a bias voltage.From the two electrode self breakdown experiment we know that the output length of the inverter effect the pulse,the longer the length of the output terminal,the wider the pulse width,the more slowly the rising edge.The absorption mechanism of GaAs PCSS was analyzed by the radiation spectrum of spark discharge.Based on the study of the performance of the inverter,we used this light source trigger GaAs photoconductive switch synchronized and synthesis related experiments.Using Auston circuit structure,we used 10 mm gap GaAs photoconductive switch to measured four synchronization.By filtering glitch waveform found that four waveform rising goodness of fit is good,the precision of synchronization is 43 ns,and verify synchronization by four current waveform in 10 k V bias voltage.Using CM test circuit,resulting in the synthesis of 2-way current waveform in 20 k V bias voltage,the doubling rate of the PCSS is 3.12,we realized the parallel synchronous synthesis in avalanche mode.
