As the development of Internet+ during two years,a large number of Internet companies combined with original manufacture industry started up,but most of them were lack of inventory management consciousness,don’t have scientific management tools and the management system is unsound,it leads to the backlog cost rising and cash flows reducing.In this paper,T company is an Internet company,the main products include auto parts and decorative products and so on.The current inventory holding cost has exceeded the sales amount and the dull inventory rate is high,so improving the inventory management strategy is very important for T company.For the current inventory management problems,provide a practical solution for T company by analyzing and researching a large number of real data including inventory data,demand forecast data,sales management data and so on using chart,quantitative analysis method and the method of combining theory and practice,it is the purpose of this paper.There are four main parts in content:The first part,analyze the company status and put forward problems,including the unreasonable inventory structure,high dull stock amount,high inventory holding cost,low inventory turnover rate and low customers’ demand matching rate.The second part is to find the root cause of the problems according to the in-depth analysis and research,including the unreasonable of initial inventory and safety stock setting,the error of replenishment strategy and inventory management strategy as well as the demand forecast error.The third part,provide solutions which are the initial and safety stock setting tools and methods,scientific demand forecasting prediction tools and methods,inventory classification management strategy,KPI system establishment and so on.The fourth part is the initial result after the implementation of solutions.Based on the difficulties and challenges,provide inventory management strategies and recommendations with business characteristics and industrial characteristics,solve the practical problems,which have practical value and practical significance for T company.Find the scientific and effective inventory management mode and improve company competitiveness,which will enable company to stand out in the fierce competition.
