Research On The Reuse Of Historical Buildings In The Former German Concession Of Hankou ——Take The Indoor And Outdoor Environment Display Design Of Wuhan Police Museum As An Example

There are more than 10 existing historical buildings in the former German concession in hankou,including the former German consulate,the former German ministry of industry,Melchers al Co.and many other second-class excellent historical buildings in wuhan.Although they have a small stock,they have witnessed the development of the area from a desolate place to a forest of high-rise buildings,which is a combination of historical value,artistic and cultural value and material functional value.In this paper,the historical evolution,construction development and planning characteristics of the former German concession in hankou are summarized,and the architectural decoration features are concluded from the old photos and existing ruins of the historical buildings in the former German concession in hankou.Extract the value of historical buildings and find the existing problems of space environment.Combined with the space demand of local residents,this paper studies the conservation and reuse modes and principles of historical buildings,and proposes the reuse design method of historical buildings in the former German concession of hankou.The design method is used to guide the design of historical and cultural exhibition hall,cafe and small outdoor landscape environment in the first floor of wuhan police museum（former German ministry of industry）.The design of this project combines the research on the reuse of historical buildings with the material and spiritual culture of contemporary people,and integrates the historical building elements of the original German concession of hankou into the interior exhibition hall design,so that people can feel and inherit the history in the process of walking into the historical buildings.The institute cafe is set up to provide a place for young people to exchange and study after class,so as to expand the audience for the reuse of historical buildings.In the outdoor environment design,the flower mirror design is taken as the main part,responding to the geographical advantage of beautiful landscape environment in the original German concession of hankou,and alleviating the current situation of too little open space and green space in this area.The research on the protection and reuse of historical buildings is combined with the improvement of the quality of life of local people to preserve the historical context of hankou and at the same time radiate the modern vitality of the original concession area of hankou.
