| This dissertation summarizes some principles and ways for urban design in historical district based on the introduction and comparison of some cases on heritage sites conservation during the renewal of old urban between China and abroad. Simultaneously, it makes a general introduction and analysis on the appearance and development of Hankou, with the characteristics of different types and space arrangement of its historical district. Based on a thorough investigation on original Russian concession historic district in Hankou, the thesis analysis the present situation and problems of the conservation of historical district in Hankou. Then the position and role of the district on the conservation of Wuhan historic city are studied. After this, the thesis put forward the guiding ideology, goal and contents of the conservation and renovation of the district, and then, some principle and method of conserving and renovating plan is also advanced. At the end of this thesis, the issues on the conservation and development of the historical district in China is discussed. |
