With the development of education modernization,the state has invested resources in primary education,and the society is calling for higher quality education.The traditional education concept is changing.With the increasing localization of open educational ideas and the wide acceptance of open teaching concepts,primary education has been transformed from the traditional "teaching-centered" to "learning-centered",and from passive acceptance of knowledge to active learning and exploration.Under the background of social development and concept innovation,primary school architectural space,as a carrier of teaching activities,has met with corresponding opportunities and challenges.To break the traditional rigid design pattern,to meet the new teaching needs and adapt to the new teaching concept of primary school has become the key problem to be solved in primary school architectural space design.Based on the research on the theoretical basis and teaching characteristics of opening teaching in primary schools,this paper analyzes the corresponding requirements of opening teaching philosophy and teaching subjects on the spatial layout,spatial form,functional organization and spatial experience of primary schools,and extracts certain design guidance.Based on the investigation and analysis of domestic excellent primary school cases and the field observation records of key cases,the author supplemented the theoretical research and summarized the deficiencies and experience of adapting to the opening teaching in primary schools.Finally,the paper puts forward relevant strategies for the adaptive design of architectural space in primary schools under the concept of opening teaching,to provide a certain reference for architectural space design in primary schools in the future,promote the adaptability of architectural space to teaching philosophy and teaching mode,and create a nurturing and spiritual place for healthy growth of primary school students.This article is mainly divided into seven chapters:The first chapter describes the background and current situation of the research,analyzes the basic concepts,and clarifies the content and purpose of the research.The chapter summarizes the related researches at home and abroad,analyzes the main research contents,puts forward the research methods and framework,and lays the foundation for the research of this paper.The second chapter constructs the core content of adaptability and puts forward the three levels of adaptability demand.Based on the perspective of environmental behavior,this paper analyzes the interrelationship among teaching subjects,teaching environment,and teaching philosophy.This paper summarizes the characteristics of elementary school open teaching and analyzes the main ways of teaching,the behavioral and developmental characteristics of pupils.Then it puts forward the demands of open,diverse and polysemous space from the aspects of teaching mode,learning behavior and social activities,and puts forward the basic and developmental requirements from the characteristics of physical growth and psychological perception.The third chapter selects domestic excellent primary school cases that built or rebuilt in recent years for investigation and analysis.the field investigation and behavior observation records of key cases are carried out,to grasp the trends and characteristics of current primary school architectural design and to analyze the characteristics of major behaviors and activities.Then Summarizing and analyzing the relationship between behavior and space,and refining the experience and shortage of adapting to the idea of opening teaching in primary school.The fourth chapter,based on the theoretical research and research analysis,summarizes the design points and principles and proposes the design strategy at the macro level and the middle level.Including the campus location of the regional resource and environment sharing,the diversified layout to adapt to the concept of opening teaching,the teaching space hierarchy organization model and teaching unit design.And Creating an open campus space environment by enriching the activity space,enhancing the organic transition of the space and coordinating the environmental structure.The fifth chapter puts forward the space design strategy at the micro-level about adapting to the open teaching concept and stimulating students’ autonomous learning behavior.The strategy involves general classroom,special classroom,public classroom,public teaching space,teaching expansion space and auxiliary service space.In the sixth chapter,the main design strategies are applied to the practical projects to optimize the case,test the design strategies proposed above,and propose limitations and improvements.The seventh chapter summarizes the main research results and prospects the follow-up research which can be improved.
