| With the acceleration of knowledge updating and the continuous development of China’s construction industry,the competition in the engineering cost consulting market is becoming increasingly fierce,and cost engineers are facing enormous opportunity and challenge.In this background,the continuous professional development of cost engineers not only affects their career destiny,but also affects the future sustainable development of engineering cost consulting enterprises and the industry.The individual’s continuous professional development behavior and effect are deeply affected by his subjective will.Therefore,this article explores the ways for cost engineers to improve their professional development willingness based on the perspective of industry characteristics,both for their own professional growth and development and for The development of engineering cost consulting companies and the industry are of great significance.This article first sorts out the continuous professional development of cost engineers through investigation and analysis.It is found that the overall professional development of cost engineers is slow.Most of the cost engineers are not willing to continue their professional development.The state of continuous professional development presented It does not have the characteristics that knowledge-intensive employees should have.Therefore,in order to capture the focus of improvement of cost engineers ’continuous professional development,it is necessary to identify the factors that hinder cost engineers’ continuous professional development based on the perspective of industry characteristics.Then,through the combination of literature research and logical reasoning,after supplementing and revising with expert interviews,28 industrial characteristic factors that hinder the willingness of the cost engineer to continue professional development are initially sorted out,called obstacle factors.On this basis,through the questionnaire survey of the degree of obstacle factors,25 important obstacle factors were selected,and then the key obstacle factors were extracted by factor analysis,and the 6 key obstacle factors were ranked by the degree of importance ranking method,from high to low.For: unfair competition is widespread and lacks effective containment,the low-level competition in the market is fierce,lacking the vigor of benign competition,the lack of a fair competition mechanism restricts the development of the industry,insufficient understanding and investment in cost consulting,making the value of products and services lower,insufficient incentives and support for professional development of practitioners,and the overall image of the industry is not good,and the professional identity of the employees is not high.Finally,based on the conclusions of the obstacle factor analysis,and combined with the current status of the engineering cost consulting industry.Targetedly put forward four improvements in optimizing market resource allocation,enhancing the value of cost consulting services,improving the professional identity of practitioners,and improving learning support,in order to effectively increase the continuous professional development willingness of cost engineers. |
