In the market environment of the new era,the maturity and degree of marketization of China’s engineering construction industry are constantly improving.However,opportunities and challenges coexist.The market is becoming more and more transparent,which means that the competition among construction engineering enterprises is becoming more and more intense.No matter from the perspective of management or cost control,construction enterprises need to improve their competitiveness in order to secure a place in the new environment.the engineering cost consulting industry has developed vigorously in recent years,More and more engineering cost consulting enterprises can provide services for investors,builders,and investors through professional engineering consulting methods and management tools according to their own conditions,combined with market factors,and taking the project as the starting point.As a country with huge construction volume,with the development of computer and information technology,the technical progress of engineering cost consulting industry is very fast.From the beginning of manual calculation to computer calculation,and then to software aided automatic analyze the relevant factors between BIM Technology Development and engineering cost consulting industry through scholar papers,relevant theoretical research,industry development report,yearbook of the Bureau of statistics and other data.Combined with the refined data and variables,this paper focuses on the impact of the development of BIM Technology on the engineering cost consulting industry through the methods and tools of quantitative economics.Through empirical analysis,first of all,from a macro point of view,the development of BIM Technology is certainly beneficial to the project cost consulting industry.The significant positive correlation conclusion also proves that BIM Technology will promote the overall development of the cost consulting industry.In the second dimension,from the perspective of the impact of industry structure,with the increase of investment level in the development of BIM Technology,it will give cost consulting enterprises the power to improve their own conventional econometric performance analysis,this paper makes an empirical analysis from the perspectives of profitability,growth ability and innovation ability.The final conclusion is that the level of BIM development investment has a negative correlation with the improvement of the profitability of the engineering cost consulting industry,However,it has a significant positive effect on the improvement of the growth capacity of the engineering cost consulting industry.On the other hand,the use level of BIM Technology also has a negative correlation with the improvement of the profitability of the engineering cost consulting industry,which is not significant.Therefore,the preliminary reasons are analyzed.It may be that the lag effect of profitability has dragged down the current profitability.Finally,The empirical conclusion shows that urban openness can significantly promote the development of innovation ability of engineering cost consulting industry,which is not only an opportunity and challenge,but also a major benefit for the development of BIM Technology and engineering cost consulting industry.
