In today’s society,residential construction projects have become a hot topic for most people’s discussions.As Chinese investment in the field of engineering construction continues to increase,the pace of infrastructure construction continues to accelerate.In order to better serve the economic market,we insist on sustainable development.For roads,the cost control of the project has become one of the important contents of project management.The project cost index is the best way to analyze the constant changes in the project cost caused by price fluctuations caused by the law of market supply and demand,and it should play an indispensable role in the process of project cost control and management.Therefore,Chinese cost practitioners are committed to further in-depth analysis and research on the project cost index in the process of construction project management,which will be of great significance in the process of sustainable development of the industry.In the process of construction project management,project cost consulting plays an important role.Method in this paper,through literature reading,sums up the construction cost consulting and project cost index,the relevant concepts and research status quo,combined with the cost consultation work content,to construction cost index in every stage of the project construction is practical for the principle,the analysis of various cost index establishment method,and the application study on the preparation methods,verify the feasibility and applicability of the preparation method.Because the construction project has the characteristics of long construction cycle,many consumables and high cost,in the price system of market economy,the price of each element of the completion of the construction project is in dynamic change,causing the cost of the project is also in continuous fluctuations.Therefore,it is necessary to adopt the project cost index prediction method to monitor the project cost in real time.In this paper,the comparative analysis method is used to analyze and compare the common prediction methods,and the GM(1,1)prediction model of grey system theory is finally selected.Through concrete application,it is verified that the prediction accuracy of this model is higher and the prediction results are better.The focus of this article is to use empirical analysis to discuss the dynamic management application of residential construction cost index in cost consulting,that is,to analyze the application of the entire project management stage,and finally analyze how the project cost index guides the project specification through specific applications.Through the application research of the cost index in this paper,we hope to help cost consulting companies use the cost index to determine the project cost reasonably and effectively,improve the efficiency of construction projects,and enhance the competitiveness of consulting companies.
