Analysis Of The Traditional Architectural Meme Of The Vernacular Dwellings In Nianbadu Of Southwest Zhejiang Province

The study of vernacular dwellings in China has gone through a history of nearly a century,and its research has gradually shifted from single-discipline research to interdisciplinary integrated research,and the breakthrough in research ideas and research methods is more important.Memetics has been widely used to study the evolution and transmission of culture since it was proposed in the 1970 s.Since architecture is a special cultural form,memetics is also applicable in the study of architecture.Therefore,in recent years,some scholars introduced memetics into the field of architecture and gradually formed the theory of Architectural Memes.Architectural Memes provides a new perspective for studying the formation and evolution of architectural form,which is especially applicable the study of vernacular dwellings in the area of cultural intersectionThis paper summarizes the research methods of architectural memes by combing the related theories of architectural memes,and selects the vernacular dwellings in the town of Nianbadu in southwest Zhejiang Province as examples to try to apply the theories and methods of architectural memes to the analysis of practical cases,so as to verify their rationality.This study consists of three parts:(1)The first part is the basic research of architectural meme theory.By means of cross-disciplinary analogy research and in combination with previous relevant theoretical achievements,this paper sorted out the relevant theories and concepts of architectural memes,analyzed the relationship between architectural memes and the formation and development of regional architecture,and then concluded the research methods and paths applicable to the research object in this paper.(2)The second part is the core part of the paper,which analyzes the most distinctive traditional architectural memes of vernacular dwellings in Nianbadu.Firstly,the paper sorts out the relevant background of The town of Nianbadu,and then summarizes the source of traditional architectural memes and their related environmental factors.Secondly,the paper investigates the current situation of traditional vernacular dwellings in the town of Nianbadu and analyzes the characteristics of traditional vernacular dwellings in the town of Nianbadu.Finally,based on a large number of research data,this paper extracts the traditional architectural memes of vernacular dwellings in the town of Nianbadu,summarizes the main architectural form memes,architectural space memes and architectural thought memes,and forms the map of the traditional architectural memes of vernacular dwellings in the town of Nianbadu.(3)The third part discusses the follow-up development and evolution of the traditional building memes of the vernacular dwellings in the town of Nianbadu.Based on previous research results,this paper further discusses the development and evolution of architectural thought memes,architectural form memes and architectural space memes of dwellings in Nianbadu under different backgrounds in modern,modern and contemporary periods.Through analyzing the memes of the vernacular dwellings in the town of Nianbadu,this paper comes to an understanding of the laws of the form formation and style evolution of the vernacular dwellings in the town of Nianbadu.The application of architectural memes in this paper provides a new entry point for the study of vernacular dwellings,which has certain reference significance for the following research.
