The Study On The Lin’an Garden In The Southern Song Dynasty

The Southern Song Dynasty is the second important turning period in the history of Chinese classical garden evolution. All types of the gardens have significant development, play the role of connecting, it is big variety in types of Lin’an gardens in Southern Song Dynasty, and distribution concentrated. In order to comprehensively expound the lin’an garden, this paper includes three parts:Part one is pandect, including landscape theory, lake and city theory, garden theory. The basic pattern of lin’an garden system is summarized, landscape mode of large scale public garden (West Lake) and small or medium scale garden are concluded, in addition,"Ten views of the west lake" for signalized point, the mainstream of Garden Landscaping entirely towards "Xie Yi", and play an important influence in Chinese garden development, are proposed.Part two is sub-pandect, the garden types and many famous gardens are expounded. The landscape features of each type are summarized, specifically research of the famous gardens, and its characteristics and technique of landscape architecture are analyzed.Part three is extended study, such as site investigation. The area of the southern song dynasty ruins (the area of lantau mountain, Jiangtai mountain, Wu mountain, Ziyang mountain) is surveied, combining the record of "lantau mountain and Shengguo Temple" to make research about Shengguo Temple site area.In this paper, the maximum value lies in exploreing the change and innovation of the landscape pattern and Landscape mode in the turning point (fusion of Chung Yuan Christian civilization and the civilization of Jiangnan), the complexity associated with the big system be sorted out.In the South Song Dynasty, each type of the gardens gradually converge, and towards "scholar garden", relies on the buildings to manifest garden level, pile up hills and dredge waterways belong to fairly advanced technique, only for royal garden and some private garden to different from general garden.
