| In recent years,global economic have got increasing integration,the ties between China and the rest of the world are closer,especially after the carryout of “Belt and Road Initiative”,the cultural exchanges,economic and trade relations with many countries along the “road” are further extending.As the main means of cross-border communication,aviation also presents a flourishing development momentum.In this context,China’s aviation tourism industry has also been greatly developed.Domestic airlines have opened a number of international routes,trying to meet the travel needs of different passengers.In today’s world,the main tool of international communication is English,and also the leading working language of aviation industry which provides services for the visitors both home and aboard.Passenger internationalization requires very high quality of air service.As flight attendants who serve passengers directly,their English proficiency represents the quality of service of an airline and directly affects the overall image of the airline.This puts higher demands on the professional skills of flight attendants.Civil Aviation Service English is one of the important branches of English for specific purposes,so the teaching of Civil Aviation English must be based on needs analysis.This paper takes the theory of needs analysis as the theoretical guidance,studies the students’ learning demand of Civil Aviation Service English and discusses its present teaching situation.Firstly,the author conducted a questionnaire survey to the students of Chongqing Real Estate College,interviewed with the graduates of other higher vocational colleges and talked with the English teachers of Civil Aviation Service.Through the analyze,there are deficiencies in many ways about Civil Aviation Service English teaching,such as backward and single teaching methods,improper selection of teaching materials,single assessment methods.Finally,this study believes that the above problems are caused by insufficient attention to the needs of students’ in Civil Aviation Service English.After analyzing the results of the questionnaire based on the theory of needs analysis,the author puts forward some suggestions for the teaching of Civil Aviation Service English:1.Set different teaching objectives according to the specific situation of students,and take the cultivation and improvement of oral communication ability as the focus of teaching;2.Teachers try to change the traditional teaching mode and create a variety of student-centered learning models;3.The teachers strengthen their own teaching ability,and strive to develop to double-qualified teachers;4.Change the existing curriculum assessment model.The author hopes that this research can provide some practical suggestions for the teaching of Civil Aviation Service English,so that more vocational colleges can better carry out the teaching of it. |
