With the rapid development of social economy and technology,the requirement of building function is increasing,and the scale of construction is expanding,which brings about a series of problems that are difficult to solve in project management,such as the loss of engineering information transmission.The construction efficiency is low,the construction period is delayed and so on,and the emergence of BIM technology provides an effective means to solve these problems,and the technology has been vigorously supported and promoted by the state,the government and the relevant construction units.This paper studies the practical application of BIM technology in every stage of engineering construction,and compares it with the traditional construction management mode.Through the project case of the first affiliated Hospital of Dalian Medical University,the practical value and benefit of BIM technology are analyzed.The main research contents include:summing up the application of BIM technology in construction program.Combined with practical engineering cases,the multi-specialty model of architecture and structure is established,the complex construction technology is simulated and displayed,and the collision detection of multi-specialty model is carried out by using Navisworks,and the collision report is output.The conflict location is modified,the model is optimized,and the application value of BIM technology in engineering construction is analyzed.It is found that the total duration of the design phase has been reduced by 33 percent using BIM technology;the changes caused by drawing errors have been reduced by about 85 percent;the cost calculation time has been reduced by 80 percent;the drawing deepening design time has been shortened by about 60 percent;All the specialties work together,the exchange time is reduced by 25%;the overall quality of construction is improved by 83;the construction materials are saved by 8;the labor cost is reduced by 10;the construction period is shortened by 8.BIM technology plays an important role in the information management of practical engineering projects by using its visualization,synergy,relevance and simulability,and brings considerable benefits to the development of the construction industry.
