The truck-mounted howitzer has gradually become an important part of weapons and equipment because of the advantage of light weight,low maintenance cost and good operational mobility.But the way of ammunition loading on the traditional truck-mounted howitzer is manually loading the projectile and semi-automatic loading technology.This type of ammunition loading may put the gunner in a dangerous situation and is also not conducive to increase the firing rate of the truck-mounted howitzer.In this paper,the automatic loading technology is studied to be used in a medium caliber truck-mounted howitzer,according to the index of automatic loading system and the structural characteristics of the truck-mounted howitzer.The research contents include the structure design of the automatic loading system,dynamic simulation and the design of the control system.The specific content is shown below:(1)According to the function of the automatic loading system,the composition of the automatic loading system is determined.According to the structural characteristics of the truck-mounted howitzer,the overall layout of the automatic loading system is put forward.According to analys the working process of the automatic loading system,the working sequence of the automatic loading system is designed.(2)Refer to the ballistic characteristics of existing medium caliber howitzers,the modular charge is designed.Under the condition of considering the characteristics of the modular charge and the way for stockpiling,transporting and replenishing ammunition,the structure of the automatic loading system are designed in detail.(3)The multi-rigid body dynamics simulation model and the rigid-flexible coupling dynamics simulation model of the automatic loading system are established by using the multi-body dynamics theory to analyze the dynamic characteristics of each subsystem in the process of automatic loading and stability in the process of firing.(4)Describing the control part of the automatic loading system and using the PID control method to design the servo control system.The simulation model of three-loop servo control system is established to analyze the working characteristics of the motor.The research results show that the automatic loading system can successfully complete the automatic loading of the truck-mounted howitzer.The automatic loading system has certain feasibility,and provides a new idea for the automatic loading system of the truck-mounted howitzer.It also can provide some reference for the application of automatic loading technology of the truck-mounted howitzer.
