| As a critical period for carbon peaking and carbon neutrality,the "14th Five-Year Plan" requires us to accelerate the construction of a low-carbon energy system.It has become a common trend to give priority to the development of renewable energy,which is represented by wind and solar energy.However,due to the randomness of its output,the problem of frequency and peak regulation of the power grid is particularly prominent.For this reason,China has taken measures such as reforming coal-fired units,building hydropower,gas,and energy storage to improve the flexibility of power-side regulation.Among them,building energy storage system which combines fast power regulation and sufficient storage capacity has become an important way to relieve the pressure of frequency and peak regulation of the power grid.However,the failure to reasonably quantify the interests of energy storage investors on the power-side has hindered the commercialization of energy storage.Therefore,this research proposes a method to quantify the potential benefits of energy storage on the power-side,and scientifically evaluate the economics of its participation in frequency modulation and peak-shaving projects.The main work is as follows.First of all,a cost model for power-side energy storage to participate in auxiliary services of frequency modulation and peak shaving is established,which is based on the life cycle cost theory.In addition,investment costs,operation and maintenance costs,failure loss costs,and decommissioning disposal costs are included in this model.Furthermore,economic benefit evaluation of power-side energy storage participating in frequency modulation and peak shaving which lay the theoretical foundation for the follow-up studyOn this basis,in view of a series of potential benefits of power-side energy storage participating in frequency and peak regulation,this study has quantified the indirect benefits which are based on the theory of rotor fatigue wear.On this basis,the economic benefit model of frequency modulation and peak regulation is established.Finally,based on the time value of funds,a method for evaluating the economic benefits of power-side energy storage is proposed.The rationality of the evaluation method proposed in this paper is verified by a calculation example,which provides a certain reference for the installation of energy storage on the power-side in the future. |
