Elevator is a vertical vehicle that integrates various technologies such as electric, control and machinery. With the increasing number of elevators in China’s high-rise buildings, elevators play an increasingly important role in people’s daily lives. However,as the elevator usage rate increases, the elevator often malfunctions when it is running. Therefore, people put forward higher requirements for the safety and comfort of the elevator. This study applies the TRIZ theory mechanical system fault analysis method and combines the elevator fault analysis and elevator design engineering practice that ZXtech is engaged in to analyze the elevator fault phenomenon and its causes. This study proposes a solution to reduce the elevator failure rate in terms of management and parametric design. This study briefly introduces the elevator structure and summarizes the limitations of the FMEA method in analyzing the failure of modern mechanical systems. This study focuses on elevator fault diagnosis analysis based on TRIZ mechanical system failure analysis method.Failure Analysis of Mechanical Systems Based on TRIZ is suitable for analyzing elevator system faults and using TRIZ tools to solve faults. For the elevator failure failure mode with ELRPN greater than 20,the passengers are safely monitored by increasing the number of personnel inspection items and establishing the elevator monitoring system. This study uses wireless sensors to wirelessly monitor elevator vibration, sound, temperature, and speed. The GPRS wireless communication technology is used to transmit the real-time monitored elevator running status to the monitoring command center.Master the elevator running status by comparing the collected running data. This study analyzes Otis elevator fault feedback data from May 2017 to October 2017 from human factors, mechanical factors, material factors, construction factors and environmental factors.Analysis shows that the proportion of elevator failures due to human factors is 54.05%.In this study, the cause of failure due to human factors is attributed to design reasons and operational reasons. From the perspective of enterprise management, this research proposes solutions based on existing working conditions and development trends of elevator. From the perspective of technological development, this study proposes a method for parameterized design of elevators. This study focuses on how to determine the parameterized size of a part and how to determine the parameterized size range. The elevator parametric design system was developed with the assistance of ZXtech developers and the elevator car door was taken as an example to illustrate the specific steps of the parametric design.
