Research On The Extraction And Planning Of Architectural Elements Of The Ancient Villages Of Tai Lake

Ancient village of Tai Lake is an important material carrier of Tai Lake Basin culture.It contains rich architectural elements and planning ideas which are worth being read and absorbed in contemporary rural planning.Through refining the architectural elements of the ancient villages of Tai Lake,it can provide theoretical basis for the high-quality development of rural planning.This paper takes 10 ancient villages of Tai Lake in Suzhou Dongshan Town and Jinting Town as research objects.First of all,the architectural elements of the ancient villages of Tai Lake are preliminarily recognized.After classifying the ancient village buildings of Tai Lake according to their structural types and use functions,this paper gives the analyses on the development of the ancient villages from the two factors: natural geography and historical culture.It is combined with the architectural elements of ancient villages in four dimensions of value which are history,art,landscape,tourism and summarizes the significance of the extraction of them.Next,the architectural elements of the ancient villages of Tai Lake are deeply deconstructed.Under the guidance of the three principles of authenticity,sustainability and regionality,the architectural elements of ancient village of Tai Lake from the exterior to the interior are extracted,which are respectively: rural environment,spatial texture,construction modeling,material color,decoration details and spiritual connotation.On this basis,the characteristics of each level of architectural elements are analyzed in details.Then,under the guidance of the principles of people-oriented,adapting to local conditions,effective trade-offs,using the past for the present,planning application practice of the ancient villages of Tai Lake needs the help of two types of expression methods of “transmission” and “freehand”.The conclusions of different levels follow a certain application path.Five application strategies are put forward,which are co-operation,co-appreciation,co-existence,co-elegance and co-prosperity.Finally,taking the planning and design of Luli ancient village in Suzhou as a case study,this paper analyzes the current situation of the architectural elements of Luli ancient village,and analyzes the planning and application effect of it in details with the strategy of "the five CO’s".
