Yunnan Province is located in an earthquake prone area with frequent earthquakes.In order to reduce the casualties and property losses caused by the collapse of buildings due to earthquake action,structural engineers usually increase the cross-section of members,increase the reinforcement ratio and strengthen the anti-seismic structural measures to improve the seismic performance of buildings.However,the collapse phenomenon of buildings still exists in the previous major earthquakes.In recent years,engineers began to install energy dissipators in buildings to reduce the impact of earthquake on the main structure.In a wide variety of shock absorption products,viscous dampers are velocity dependent dampers,which do not provide stiffness,but provide additional damping ratio for the structure.Due to its small volume and little influence on building function,dampers are widely used in high-rise structures,long-span structures and flexible structures.In this paper,combined with the seismic code and the seismic design requirements of Yunnan Province,aiming at the seismic design problems of small reinforced concrete frame structure with viscous dampers,the seismic design process of frame structures with viscous dampers is summarized and proposed.Taking a commercial and residential building for the elderly in Mouding,Chuxiong as an example,the influence of the parameters of viscous damper on the dynamic characteristics of the structure is systematically studied,and the reasonable range of the mechanical parameters of the damper is obtained when the viscous damper is used in the small reinforced concrete frame structure.Taking a commercial and residential building for the elderly in Mouding,Chuxiong as an example,the reasonable mechanical parameters of dampers are selected to carry out the seismic design of the structure,which provides the corresponding theoretical basis for the seismic design and viscous damper design of the structure.The specific research work is as follows:(1)On the basis of consulting and studying the data about energy dissipation and shock absorption at home and abroad,this paper summarizes the research status of energy dissipation and shock absorption,introduces the concept,principle and classification of energy dissipation and shock absorption,and summarizes the seismiccalculation theory.(2)Combined with the seismic code and the seismic design requirements of Yunnan Province,the seismic design process of structures with viscous dampers is summarized.(3)Taking a commercial and residential building for the elderly in Mouding,Chuxiong,as an example,the dynamic response of the main parameters of the viscous damper to the structure under small earthquake is studied by attaching a viscous damper to the structure.The reasonable range of the parameters of the viscous damper used in the small reinforced concrete frame structure is preliminarily determined.(4)In this paper,the seismic reduction analysis of a commercial and residential building in Mouding,Chuxiong,with viscous dampers is carried out.Through the elastic time history analysis of small earthquakes and the elastic-plastic time history analysis of large earthquakes,the dynamic responses of the original structure and the energy dissipation structure under the earthquake action are compared,so as to determine the seismic reduction target of the structure.At the same time,through the seismic analysis,the mechanical parameters of the viscous damper of the project are obtained,and the mechanical parameters of the viscous damper are reasonable,which can be delivered to the factory for production and used for the structural damping.The study provides a reference for seismic design of frame structures with viscous dampers in Yunnan.(5)Finally,the paper summarizes the research work and puts forward suggestions for further research.
