With the rapid development of urbanization in recent years,modern trams have become a new direction in the field of modern urban traffic construction with its low cost,large volume of transportation and flexible line arrangement.For the demand of passenger capacity and convenience,the tram should have larger low-floor area in body.In the process of achieving 100% low floor,suspended-modular-tram was born.Suspended-modular-tram use floating modules to reduce the number of bogies,increase the area of low floor while maintaining the curve-passing performance and limiting gauges.Therefore,the structure of this type is different from traditional trains.There are many differences in the calculation of various parameters.Based on the characteristics of composition and joint of suspended-modular-trams,this paper has studied axle loads,wheel loads,position relation between adjacent car body in curve passing,which in order to improve the efficiency for parameters of the allocation of mass and design of gangways.This research has value both in theory and engineering practice.Based on composition and articulated structure adopted by suspended-modular-tram,the tram body and its installation equipment are simplified into rigid bodies.The simplified model of the trams which have a variety of composition and articulated structure is established with the statically-indeterminate-theory.The virtual-displacement principle is used to calculate the static equilibrium of the ‘spring-mass’ model.Through the deformation coordination principle,the corresponding forced states of suspension systems,joints,bogies and wheel pairs of each tram body in the rigid system under the equilibrium state were analyzed.The calculation method of flexibility coefficient for trams in different compositions and articulated forms has found.Axle loads,wheel loads and their deviations were analyzed and calculated,in order to give the theoretical basis of the arrangement of devices and the adjustment of loads.Based on the composition and the DOF of joints,the kinematics analyze model of suspended-modular-tram about horizontal and vertical curve negotiation was found.The calculation method for articulated trams of the mutual attitude of adjacent vehicles in the horizontal and vertical curve is found,in order to give the theoretical basis of determination about the position relations between adjacent vehicles and the parameters of the design on gangways.In this paper,finite element analysis software and multi-bodies dynamics software are used to build the vehicle model and make the simulation to verify the related loads and curve negotiation calculation methods proposed in the paper.Based on the Visual Studio platform,developing relevant professional software to realize the vehicle virtual test variable parameter input,virtual test process visualization,test parameters and results data management,virtual test report generation and other functions.This software would improve the efficiency of calculation and analysis about the effects made by the arrangement of devices.
