By the end of 2019,the total number of China Railway Express trains has reached 21,162,including 8,225 trains in 2019.With the rapid growth of China Railway Express train quantity,problems such as high financial subsidies,disordered market competition,repeated operation lines,port station congestion,and the decline of operation timeliness appear.The existence of these problems has seriously affected the healthy and sustainable development of China Railway Express.With the gradual growth of transportation demand and the continuous expansion of transport scope,it is urgent to find a more suitable transportation organization mode for the development of China Railway Express,so as to reduce the financial burden of the government,and form a standardized market order.Firstly,this paper summarizes the basic status quo of China Railway Express in terms of corridor,port station,nodes,cities and operation lines,and combs the main problems of China Railway Express.According to the differences between the freight source organization and train operation modes of China Railway Express,the transportation modes of China Railway Express are classified,which are mainly divided into “point-to-point” direct transportation mode,transportation mode of assembly center and mixed transportation organization mode.It is clear that the main problems of China Railway Express are in the mode of transportation organization.Then,through the construction of China Railway Express transportation network,this paper makes an in-depth analysis and theoretical preparation to solve the problems existing in the selection of China Railway Express transportation organization mode,including the influencing factors and principles of the selection of the assembly center city,the calculation method of the assembly time and the prediction of container accumulation.Then Combined with China Railway Express transportation network,this paper takes the shortest transportation and assembly time as the optimization goal,combined with the determined assembly center city,constructs the selection model of China Railway Express transportation organization mode,and solves it with the software of Cplex.By inputting the data of container generation intensity,transportation time between nodes,the capacity of assembly center and the capacity of the lines,the model outputs the operation plan of assembly center,the operation plan of cities that conform to the "point-to-point" direct trains,the transportation plan of domestic container trains and the transportation route.Finally,this paper takes the west corridor of China Railway Express as study case,Lanzhou and Urumqi are selected as the assembly centers,and the results are compared with the actual operation of China Railway Express in 2019,which verifies the validity of the model.The optimized transportation organization mode of the west corridor of China Railway Express is obtained: Chengdu,Zhengzhou,Chongqing,Wuhan,Hefei and Changsha adopt“point-to-point” direct transportation mode;Xi’an adopts the mixed transportation mode;Xining,Yinchuan,Guiyang,Lhasa,Kunming and Nanning adopt transportation mode of assembly center.
