Development Of Digital Protection Device For Intelligent Traction Substation

In recent years,China’s railway maintained rapid development,especially we made great achievements in high-speed railway construction.At present,the integrated automation system which provides protection,measurement and monitoring function for traction substation’ main equipment and traction network has entered the mature stage.With the continuous development of traction power supply technology of railway,the communication demand between various equipment in the traction substation will be increased,the railway "unattended" management mode will be carried out step by step,made the limitation of traditional protection control system emerge,which mainly reflects in: the disunity of communication standard,poor interoperability,difficult information sharing,miscellaneous system,decentralization of information,complex operation and maintenance,etc.Therefore,it is urgent to develop a device that can achieve unified communication standards and quickly share information among devices.Based on the related specification for intelligent substation which has been released in China,combining with the characteristics of traction power supply,this paper presents a reliable and economic network scheme which applicable to intelligent traction substation system.Through analyzing the demand of intelligent traction substation system for digital protection device,a hardware selection scheme and modeling method of digital protection device are presented.Using the software platform of the digital protection devices developed by Xuji electric company,the detailed design scheme for digital protection device is given.Finally,combining with the new development of digital protection device,a kind of commissioning program of intelligent traction substation is designed.
