The electrostatic motor has the advantages of simple structure,constant electric-field strength on the surface of the reduced electrode,large energy density of electric field,and high efficiency of energy conversion.As an important part of the electrostatic motor,the drive needs to be further studied.Aiming at the problems that the transformer was bulky and the circuit design was complicated under the sine wave driving method,this paper studied the driving method based on the square wave,and designed the half-bridge driving circuit.Aiming at the situation that the electrostatic motor worked under the high voltage of one thousand volts,this paper designed high-voltage DC adjustable power supplies based on push-pull topology and full-bridge phase-shift topology,and analyzed the working states of the power circuits and the selections of devices in the power supplies.Aiming at the problems of low commutation frequency,slow running speed and inability to run stably for a long time when the open-loop drive of an electrostatic motor was performed,a closed-loop commutation control method was designed.According to the software function design needs of the electrostatic motor,each sub-module was designed.The program designs of electrostatic motor were completed.In this paper,a square wave-based electrostatic motor driving method and driving circuit were proposed for the first time.A closed-loop commutation method and the control device for an electrostatic motor were proposed for the first time.This paper solved the problems of poor performance and low thrust of the electrostatic motor at low speed,and provided new ideas for the driving method and commutation method of the electrostatic motor.
