Research-based nature education is a specific type of nature education,and the core audience of research-based nature education is primary and middle school students.In recent years,the theoretical research and construction practice of natural education in China is in the ascendant,but the design research of the research-based natural education garden is not only the theoretical problem to be discussed,but also the planning practice problem to be solved.Based on the perspective of planning and design of natural education,this paper systematically discusses the basic conditions,the main contents,the forms of natural education,the theme of natural education and the functional space of natural education garden.This paper combs the four core concepts of nature education and research,combs Rousseau’s educational theory,Comenius’ theory of adaptation to nature,and discusses the development course and trend of natural education.Based on the development process of natural education,this paper combs the contents and forms of natural education at home and abroad,the facilities and operation of natural education places,etc.Based on the development process of research,the content,form and destination of research activities at home and abroad are combed.According to the opinions on promoting the study travel of primary and middle school students and the demand for research bases and outdoor practice places in various curriculum standards of primary and secondary schools,the basic conditions of the research-based natural education park are as follows: the transportation inside and outside the park should be convenient and safe;the existing natural environment of the park should be in good condition;the natural resources and biological resources of the park should be representative,typical and as diverse as possible;the landscape resources of the park should be as rich as possible and the quality of landscape resources should be high;and the supporting functional facilities of the park should meet the needs of the audience.According to the documents related to research issued by the Ministry of Education and the demand for the content of research and the teaching content of primary and secondary schools in various curriculum standards of primary and secondary schools,it is deduced that the contents of research-based natural education are mainly four kinds of natural knowledge of geography,biology,astronomy and aesthetics,taking into account the contents of humanities.According to the main content of the research-based nature education and the main characteristics of the research-based audience,the main forms of the research-based nature education are the research-based nature science popularization,the research-based nature recreation,the research-based nature exploration,the research-based nature experience.According to the content and form of natural education,the theme activities of natural education are divided into two themes: natural theme and humanistic theme.Based on the content,form and subject of natural education,the syllabus of each course and the behavior characteristics of students in primary and secondary schools,it is advisable to plan four functional spaces of natural education in the natural education garden.
