A Study On Rural Mutual Assistance Products For The Aged With Positive Design

With the intensification of the aging population in our country,especially in rural areas,the current situation of economic backwardness,less protection of villagers,and the influx of young and middle-aged people into cities has led to the urgent problem of rural elderly care.The government has promulgated relevant policies and vigorously promoted the model of mutual assistance for the aged to improve the happiness of the elderly in rural areas in a low-cost and efficient way.Mutual-aid products are the efficient ways to promote the sustainable development of rural mutual assistance for the aged as an important carrier in the rural mutual-aid model.At present,in the progress of implenmenting the model of mutual assistance for the aged,most rural areas mainly carried out organizational model innovation from a sociological perspective,but there is no in-depth practical research on product design from design perspective.In recent years,within the logical framework of psychology,especially happiness psychology and design psychology,there has been a extensive discussion on how positive design can improve users’ subjective well-being.Scholars have successively studied related theories,design methods,etc.,and designed products or services in daily life from a new perspective,thereby enhancing people’s subjective well-being.Therefore,in the context of the implementation of the rural mutual assistance pension model,this research tries to introduce the positive design theory method into the rural mutual assistance pension product design,through positive design the theoretical guidance,construct the design path,and the design research is carried out with the product as the carrier to provide reference for the development of rural mutual assistance for the aged.The research methods and process of this article includes: First,based on the literature research,the concept,characteristics,mode and practical application cases of mutual assistance for the aged are defined and extracted.The characteristics of the population in the elderly care products,current research orientation,design principles and related design cases are analyzed and summarized.The concept,characteristics,related research methods,and design cases of positive design are sorted out and summarized;second,based on literature research,we extracted and constructed the design path of the positive design involving in the rural mutual assistance products for the aged,it consists of four parts: user demand extraction path,concept exploration path,concept visualization path and product evaluation path;third,based on the method path,the design practice was carried out in Wusi Village,Situan Town,Fengxian District,Shanghai,and three product design prototypes were output;fourth,the three product design prototypes were optimized according to the evaluation results.This research outputs the design path of the positive design involving in the rural mutual assistance products for the aged,including a complete set of design procedures for investigating the status quo,analyzing information,extracting key points,conceptual design,conceptual expression,and product evaluation.At the theoretical level: it has enriched the development perspective of the rural mutual assistance products for the aged,broadened the scope of related research fields,and provided theoretical support for the research of rural mutual assistance products.At the practical level: it provided a complete and detailed design path for designers,contributing to the accurate and rapid development of products.At the same time,it has innovated the categories of rural mutual assistance products for the aged and improved the deficiencies of existing products.Under the model of rural mutual assistance for the aged,the intervention of positive design provides effective guidance for the development of rural mutual assistance for the aged.This not only meets the needs of the elderly in the process of mutual assistance and enhances the happiness of their later years,but also lays the foundation for the prosperity and development of rural communities and the realization of rural revitalization strategies.
