| Cities have gradually become the homes for more than half of the world’s population.Urban Agglomerations emerge when a certain number of cities of varying sizes,functions,and ties are interconnected within a certain area.Urban Agglomeration is a high-level form of urban regional development.However,the high-density agglomeration of population and resources may lead to problems such as overcapacity,traffic congestion,environmental pollution,and aggravation of social contradictions.The risk factors that originally existed in single cities were amplified in urban agglomerations,and the scope of influence and losses would be obtained.The ability of Urban Agglomeration to deal with uncertain risks will be tested.In this context,urban resilience has gradually become a general topic.Resilient cities have the ability to resist,absorb,adapt to and recover from disasters,which has an indispensable significance for urban development.At present,in addition to the specific natural disasters such as floods and earthquakes,urban resilience research has begun to receive attention for the overall resilience of the region and the resilience of the network structure.In this regard,this dissertation extends the resilience research subject from a single city or community to the Urban Agglomeration,in order to study the ability of a certain urban group to resist uncertainty and maintain stability.The dissertation first sorts out relevant literature on Urban Agglomerations and resilient cities at home and abroad,and determines research ideas and methods.Then,analyses the factors affecting the overall regional resilience of Urban Agglomerations,the four aspects of resistance,adaptability,recovery and relevance are the main elements of evaluation.The indicators are selected from the economic and social resilience,infrastructure resilience and resource environment resilience.In this process,the social network analysis method and the Gravity model are introduced to calculate the network connection of economic,traffic and environment risk of cities in Urban Agglomerations,which are included in the evaluation system as the relevance index factors affecting the resilience of different dimensions.The evaluation index system of the regional resilience of Urban Agglomeration is established,and the Zhongyuan Urban Agglomeration is selected as a case for the evaluation index system application.The regional resilience level of the Zhongyuan Urban Agglomeration is evaluated,and strategic suggestions for improving the regional resilience are proposed for new urbanization development.In the end,several types of Urban Agglomerations with different resilience and relevance are discussed,and optimization strategies are given respectively,which is helpful to deepen understanding the regional resilience of Urban Agglomerations and to formulate a more realistic Urban Agglomeration resilience plan. |
