At the beginning of the 21 st century, the concept of "resilience" began to be introduced into the urban planning and management field represented by disaster prevention, and the concept of active disaster prevention has attracted much attention.Although "resilience" has been recognized by the academic community as an emerging development concept, the practicalization of its theory requires resilience measurement as a solution.Based on the measurement results, government departments can formulate tough baselines, monitor resilience changes, identify key elements of resilience, and formulate policies for improving urban resilience and coordinated regional development.Based on the concept of sustainable development and the review of domestic and international urban resilience studies, especially the resilience assessment research, this study breaks through the traditional “level” and “capacity” thinking of the traditional resilience assessment and focuses on how to make the city “more effective in enhancing its capabilities”.A three-dimensional evaluation system of "cost + capability + energy efficiency" was constructed, and it was implemented with the help of advanced mathematics models that have a good ability to adapt to nonlinear and non-normal high-dimensional data.In addition,as urban agglomerations increasingly become the main spatial carrier for the country's promotion of new urbanization,it is of great significance to study urban resilience from the perspective of regional coordinated development for the formulation of regional policies and plans. This study takes the urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River as an example to summarize its spatial pattern of urban resilience and its evolution characteristics from 2006 to 2015.Based on this,it studies optimization mechanism and propose optimization strategies from the perspective of more effective promotion of urban resilience and coordinated development of regional resilience. This research consists of four main parts:Part I: Introduction and review of related research progress, including source of research subject, research background, research purpose and significance, research content and framework, research methods and technology and related research progress at home and abroad.Part ?: Evaluation system construction. The third chapter is the excessive chapter of the Part I and Part III,that is,based on the review of the first part of the domestic and foreign related research progress, studies and builds the urban resilience measurement system and serves as technical support of the third part.Part III: Empirical analysis, including the spatial pattern of comprehensive assessment of urban resilience in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River(Chapter 4),the spatial pattern evolution characteristics of urban resilience in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River(Chapter 5)and urban resilience influencing mechanism and optimization strategy(Chapter 6).The above three chapters are the core chapters of the paper.Chapters 4,5,and 6 are the empirical analysis of the comprehensive measurement of urban resilience of urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze river.Part IV: The research conclusion and prospect. The main research conclusions and innovation points are summarized, and the shortcomings and problems in the research are pointed out,and the future research is prospected.
