| The 21st century is also the key growth period of the aging society.According to the report of " 《China Development Report 2020 : Trends and Policies of Population Aging in China》," China ’ s aging population is growing rapidly from 2035 to 2050.According to experts,China ’ s aging population will reach 400 million in 2050.China ’s elderly population aged 60 and over will be close to 500 million,accounting for more than 30 per cent of the country ’s total population,and will enter a deep aging society.As the first city to implement and strictly implement the family planning policy,Wuxi inevitably faces the problem of aging population.In the face of the severe situation of aging,the housing construction and environment built in Wuxi in the last century are also facing the“ aging ”.How to transform the old buildings and environment to meet the living needs of the elderly living in it is urgent to transform the old residential buildings and the surrounding environment.In 2011,the “ 《Management Measures for Renovation and Reconstruction of Old Residential Areas in Wuxi City》 ” promulgated by the government in Wuxi began to gradually carry out the related projects of old community transformation.Community is an important space in people ’ s lives.With the arrival of ’ double aging ’of population,urban architecture and environment,the research on the aging adaptation of old communities has begun to pay attention to.During the 1970 s – 1990 s,a large number of collective housings were constructed.During this period,they were faced with the characteristics of small kitchen and toilet space area and imperfect functional areas.They had certain security risks and were not suitable for the elderly.This paper focuses on the background of the “ double aging ” of population,urban architecture and environment,and applies literature research,field research,statistical analysis and case studies to provide healthy and harmonious kitchen cooking environment and bathroom environment for elderly families living in old communities.This topic is based on the actual situation of the old community residence in Wuxi,after field visits and research,summarizes the existing problems of kitchen and toilet space,and puts forward a set of complete transformation theory and specific residential kitchen and toilet space transformation practice,to provide a healthy and harmonious kitchen and toilet environment for the elderly living in the old community.It is of great practical significance to improve and improve the kitchen and toilet space environment of old community residential buildings and prolong the service life of old community residential buildings in Wuxi.In this study,the development characteristics of kitchen and toilet space of old residential buildings in Wuxi and the investigation results of the status quo of kitchen and toilet space on the spot are integrated to explore the existing problems in the use of kitchen and toilet space of old residential buildings in Wuxi.There are three aspects of problems that need to be improved urgently,including unreasonable functional layout of kitchen and toilet,imperfect equipment and facilities of kitchen and toilet space,and lighting ventilation,color and material of kitchen and toilet space.Under the premise of following the principle of safety first,the principle of humanistic care,the principle of economic suitability,the principle of overall coordination and the principle of ergonomics,the targeted transformation is carried out,that is,from the integration and optimization of the functional layout of the kitchen and toilet space,the improvement of the equipment and facilities related to the kitchen and toilet space,and the transformation of the lighting environment and color and material of the kitchen and toilet space.In the design and transformation practice,Qingyang New Village,Liangxi District,Wuxi City is taken as an example to carry out the design of kitchen and toilet space aging adaptation for typical household types.This process transforms the design theory of aging adaptation into practice,and provides theoretical and practical guidance for subsequent kitchen and toilet space aging adaptation. |
