The Spatial Relationships Of The Waterfront Landscape Buildings In The West Lake,Hangzhou

The West Lake in Hangzhou is succeed in the combination of landscape buildings and water environment,not only showing a high degree of coordination between artificiality and nature,but also providing a reference for constructing a waterfront landscape space with Chinese characteristics.This paper takes the waterfront landscape buildings in West Lake as the research object,and is guided by the architectural space combination theory.It is divided into the following three aspects to conduct a research on its spatial aesthetic conception and regional cultural characteristics.First of all,in terms of the layout model of West Lake waterfront landscape buildings,this paper sorts out basic information such as the evolution process,modeling style,distribution status,and image data of 120 waterfront garden buildings,by the combination of data collection and field investigation.Through selecting 17 scenic spots as the basic unit,combining with 5 layout modes of West Lake waterfront landscape buildings,it is summed up 8 types of water space,including the rhythmic space along the lake,the long dike space on the lake,the flowery space near the lake,the Zen space near the stream,the wild interesting space of the water village,and the elegant space of the water courtyard,modern classical space,and island garden space.Secondly,in the framing techniques of West Lake waterfront garden architecture,this paper explores the regular features of West Lake waterfront landscape buildings in terms of sight arrangement,spatial sequence,artistic conception,through further deconstruction of the space composition of classic cases.It is concluded that the best way to borrow scenery lies in the beautiful scenery of the West Lake,the brilliance of the four seasons,the light and shadow of the water surface;The opposite scenic landscape lies in the use of depth,encircling,interlacing and other techniques;The corridor to guide the scenery is divided into the wall end type,the crosswater end type and the multi-node type;The structure of gathering scenes consists of "品" shape structure,"凹" shape structure and series structure.Finally,in terms of the coordination method between the West Lake waterfront landscape buildings and the water environment,this paper refines 10 types of joining methods between the buildings and the shoreline,through the comparison and demonstration of actual cases,including one facing the water,two facing the water,partial overhangs,platforms,cantilevered,surrounded by water on three sides,surrounded by water on all sides,internal water body,built around water,directly across water,indirectly across water.Summing up the transition method between the building and the water body by the use of natural materials or platform steps to form a natural through transition space.Summarizing the connection between the building and the outdoor space,and explaining it from four perspectives: plane processing,facade combination,volume size and color matching.
