Research On The Design Of Rural Leisure And Pension Space In Zhangjiakou Under The Background Of Winter Olympics

For the 14 th Five-Year Plan period,China would enter into aging society.Nation al strategy should concern the problem of rising aging population and development of universal pension services,which would hugely promote the vitality of the rural leisur e pension industry at the present stage.At the same time,the large-scale and high speed development also brings challenges to the service quality of the pension industry.The advantages of Zhangjiakou area greatly drive the development of the local rural leisure pension mode.However,the lack of time and experience results in many existing drawbacks of the local pension space.This paper aims at finding out the problems existing in the rural leisure space for the aged in Zhangjiakou area through investigating and visiting,and putting forward effective strategies to improve the quality of the space for the aged to better address the challenges of an aging population.Firstly,this study summarized the guiding significance of several relevant theories in the design of old-age care space,including physical and sensory development theory of the elderly,Maslow’s hierarchy of needs theory,life review theory of the elderly,rural sustainable development theory,and rural participatory development theory.Secondly,through field survey and questionnaire survey,we conducted the investigation from three aspects: the overall construction situation of rural leisure pension industry in Zhangjiakou,the current situation of rural pension space and the spatial preference of the elderly.The survey results show that The rural old-age care industry mainly has four problems: lack of medical resources,single form of entertainment space,younger size of public facilities,and low integration between the old-age care industry and the countryside.In response to the above problems,the basic design principles of the retirement space are proposed from the four aspects of space safety,medical convenience,location rationalization and ageing facilities.And on the basis of design principles,six improvement strategies are proposed for rural development methods,public space construction,types of elderly care space,the scope of activities for the elderly,the convenience of the elderly’s daily life,and the elderly’s entertainment methods.The quality is optimized again.Finally,taking Yuanzihe Village of Zhangjiakou as an example,the proposed promoting strategies were verified by software simulation method.This paper investigated the problems existing in Zhangjiakou rural leisure space for the aged and proposed optimization strategies for the problems found,which were based on the immediate needs of the elderly and guided by rich theoretical researches.This study will play a positive role in creating a comfortable rural leisure pension space and help develop the inclusive elderly service industry.
