Research On The Construction Of Outdoor Performance Space In Modern Urban Public Space

With the continuous improvement of participation and experience of urban public space activities,the construction of modern urban public space is facing new problems.Originally,the construction of urban public space paid more attention to the display of urban landscape style,but as the activities carried by urban public space become more and more complex,the deeply used urban public space will pay more and more attention to the space of "participation" in "display and participation".According to the statistics of the world cultural organization,the proportion of various performances in public space activities is increasing.In the process of participating in these activities,people are both "performers of the audience" and "audience of performers",and their roles are constantly changing and their participation experience is constantly enriched.Therefore,with the continuous improvement of the participation and experience of urban public space,it is of great significance to study the design of "performance space" with rich activities and strong participation.The "performance space" in the urban public space discussed in this paper refers to the space which is convenient for the public to participate in and hold performance activities in the urban public space.The performance activities in urban public space are not limited to listening to music,watching dramas,singing and dancing performances,movies,magic,acrobatics,martial arts,fashion shows and animal performances.They also include a wide range of self entertainment and participatory activities,such as karaoke singing,singing,social dance,aerobics,martial Arts and so on.However,due to the lack of research concept and design practice,there are five problems in the construction of performance space:(1)Unreasonable space layout and unclear function orientation;(2)Weak space cohesion and unsatisfactory performance effect;(3)Disordered traffic flow and hidden danger of safe evacuation;(4)Lack of functional complexity and low efficiency of space use;(5)There is nothing new in the elements.Therefore,in view of the main problems existing in the current "performance space" for in-depth analysis,at the same time,learn from the excellent experience at home and abroad,and then develop a set of theory and practice system suitable for the performance space design,to provide some guidance for the future performance space design in China.This paper first combs and summarizes the relevant theoretical and practical research results,and finds that there is a lack of thinking about participatory,experiential,and behavioral space system and form design.Then,aiming at the main problems,the paper studies and analyzes the performance space system,special performance space,high-frequency performance space and occasional performance space by taking the performance space system in Seoul,malonyi performance square in Seoul,impression Huiqian square in Shapingba,Chongqing and Jialing Park as the research objects;Finally,combined with cases at home and abroad,the paper puts forward the corresponding space design strategy,and applies the design strategy in specific practical projects,aiming to provide certain guidance for the design of viewing space through the combination of theory and practice.This paper is divided into four parts:The first part is the basic research and problem posing part(Chapters 1 and 2).The introduction analyzes the necessity of paying attention to the design of performance space in the current urban public space construction,and puts forward that the performance space should pay attention to the system construction and space construction.And this paper expounds and defines the concept of performance space,and makes it clear that the core problem of performance space design is to think about participatory,experiential,and behavioral space form design.In the second chapter,it elaborates the development and theoretical research of performance space in China,analyzes the characteristics of performance space in urban public space,and summarizes the problems existing in the construction of performance space in modern urban public space.The second part is the case analysis part(Chapter 3),which studies and analyzes the performance space system,special performance space,high-frequency performance space and occasional performance space by taking Seoul performance space system,malonyi performance square in Seoul,impression Huiqian square in Shapingba,Chongqing and Jialing Park as examples,At the same time,it makes a brief analysis and summary of the excellent performance space at home and abroad.The third part is the summary of construction strategy(Chapter 4),including:reasonable spatial layout,clear construction objectives;The space cohesion is strong,and the performance effect is improved;Optimize traffic flow line to ensure safe evacuation;Space composite use,improve the efficiency of use;Highlight the regional characteristics,space construction innovation five aspects.From the planning to the design process of specific places,the data or indicators of the five elements(layout,cohesion,transportation,compound and activity)should be accurately implemented.The fourth part is the practice test and summary(Chapters 5 and 6).The design practice draws lessons from the principles and specific techniques of performance space obtained from the theoretical exploration,and is applied to the actual project of performance space construction on the East Bank of Qujiang River in Guang’an Economic and Technological Development Zone.Based on the investigation and analysis of urban development goals,cultural activities,etc,The systematic construction of the performance space and the creation of multi form and high quality performance space are carried out to verify the theory and design strategy proposed above.The summary part summarizes the main points mentioned above,puts forward the input cost suggestions,and puts forward the specific measures and process of the design of the performance space in the urban public space,and makes the prospect for the follow-up development of the research.
